At Siegwerk, we are committed to giving back to the communities we serve. Because of this, on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity took place at the Berkat Children’s Home, Johor Bahru, Malaysia with joint teams from Malaysia and Singapore. The activity at the orphanage was led by the CSR committee members. The objective was to build relationships, work together to clean up the facility and have a little fun along the way.
The event started with a brief introduction about Siegwerk so the orphans had a good overview of the company. Following the opening and introduction, the children, workers at the orphanage and Siegwerk colleagues were served breakfast, followed by a ‘gotong royong’ (a Malay term for community cooperation) and painting of the facility. All involved worked passionately together to help the children and to improve the environment in which the children live.
