Siegwerk takes multi-project approach with 2020 Lighthouse Project (Colombia)

To mark the 10 year anniversary partnering with SOS Children’s Village, for 2020 Siegwerk begins a new project in Mexico while continuing programs in Indonesia and Colombia.
YouthCan! in Indonesia and Colombia
YouthCan! is an SOS program which supports young people who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it as they move towards establishing a career and living on their own. Siegwerk is continuing to support young adults in Indonesia (now in our third year) and in Colombia (our second year) with the expertise of local Siegwerk employees to help develop student’s professional qualifications through volunteering as role models, trainers and mentors.
In Colombia, Siegwerk is also working together on mentor-mentee programs with other YouthCan! sponsors which include DHL, Thyssenkrupp and McDonalds.
Laboratory of dreams
In 2019, 60 young mothers successfully participated in the Laboratory of dreams project in Colombia. SOS Children’s Villages Colombia supports young mothers in their development and gaining their high school degree, finishing their middle school courses or even acquiring relevant professional skills. The program was so successful, Siegwerk Colombia has extended their work for new and existing participants.
