Teamwork for a green ecosystem and an educational place in the Büdingen Wildlife Park

Germany

One of Büdingen's most popular leisure facilities is the wildlife park. Not a day goes by without walkers, families, children and school groups taking a trip to see the wild animals, forest adventure trail and  sculpture trail.

The educational requirements in nature are a great priority. There are 17 stations where youngsters can learn all about: trees, animals in the wildlife park, life in dead wood and what lives in the river. Sports equipment invites them to play and romp around.

In cooperation with the Forest Manager of the wildlife park, the Siegwerkers from Büdingen have once again volunteered their time. The following work was completed with three teams, full of enthusiasm, team spirit and fun:

  • Team 1: Helped with the care of the trees
  • Team 2: Cleaned up the stream and removed garbage
  • Team 3: Built a bridge

Without the help of volunteers, it would not be possible to open the wildlife park to visitors without an entrance fee. The manager at the wildlife park was grateful for the Siegwerkers' commitment. Siegwerk Büdingen is delighted with the joint effort and will be supporting the wildlife park again next year.
