Siegwerk China supports autistic children as part of its local CSR activities

China

During the Family Day of 2024, Siegwerk China made a donation to the Minhang Representative Office of the Shanghai Charity Foundation, which works with special “sunshine” children, who are on the autistic spectrum. Additionally, a few sunshine children, their families and teachers, were invited to join in the Family Day activities. They participated with enthusiasm and two of children presented beautiful handmade gifts to Siegwerk Owner and Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Alfred Keller, commemorating Siegwerk's 200th anniversary. Siegwerk China also designed some charity activities during Family Day in which employees donated personal belongings, participated in charity games and donated money.

In December, Siegwerk was invited to attend a Heartful Gratitude Carnival where we received the official award and certificate as Charity Partner. Phoebe Yuan, Head of HR, China, watched the children's performance and purchased three paintings made by sunshine children at the carnival event. This helped support their efforts and made them feel their social value.

As an additional part of Siegwerk China’s long-range Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects, the site has hired and supports two disable staff members since October 2021. This is part of a broader charity program administered by the local government.  The employment benefits provided by Siegwerk helps these two Siegwerkers through a fixed salary, social insurance and housing funds, allowing them to improve their living conditions. These are just few great examples of how Siegwerk gives back to the communities it serves.
