Siegwerk’s Siegburg site supports the local Ambulant Children's and Youth Hospice Service with a EUR 2,500 contribution

The Siegwerk team in Siegburg as part of a "Maintenance Optimization" improvement program had to tidy up and sort out spare parts that were no longer required across Siegwerk’s Siegburg site. The clean-up resulted in five containers full of spare parts and scrap metal, which was sold for scrap value. More than 20 Siegwerk maintenance employees were involved in the clean-up, including Florian Hansen, Project Manager of the “Maintenance Optimization" improvement program and Tobias Klemcke, Technician Mechanic, who is currently responsible for Siegwerk’s Siegburg spare parts warehouse.

The scrap metal collected had a value of EUR 5,000. The team has already donated EUR 2,500 EUR to the local Youth Disability Aid Association.

The other EUR 2,500 were now donated to the local " Ambulant Children's and Youth Hospice Service." This service accompanies children and young people with life-shortening illnesses and their families on their journey through life - from diagnosis, throughout life and in death.

"It's great that we can now use the money raised by the team for the benefit of children and do good with it," said Hansen.
