Siegwerk Pakistan holds picnic for area children though local Helm Foundation

Pakistan

Siegwerk Pakistan is committed to giving back to communities it serves though its Corporate Social Responsibility activities. The organization they have partnered with is the independent Helm Foundation which runs a program called Kifalat, which focuses on the education and holistic development of children.

Under this program, Siegwerk Pakistan provides comprehensive support to local children, including:

  • Admission fees
  • Monthly school fees
  • Tuition fees
  • Course materials (books)
  • Fees for mentoring sessions
  • Uniforms and other essentials

Currently, more than 100 children are enrolled in the program which emphasizes mentoring as a core component, involving psychologists, public speakers, and educationalists who conduct one-on-one sessions with the children. These sessions are structured as follows:

  • Two-hour sessions every 15 days
  • Four-hour sessions monthly

During these sessions, the mentors work on the children’s psychological well-being, educational progress, and ethical values. Their performance is also tracked with students provided giveaways as incentives for their achievements.

Recently, the Helm Foundation organized a picnic for the Kifalat program children, which was attended by all mentors and the Helm operations team. This event helped strengthen the bond between the children and their mentors.
