Siegwerk India launches new “Know your CSR” initiative to create broader awareness

Siegwerk India has started a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative called ‘Know your CSR.’ Recently, a group of Siegwerk India employees had an opportunity to visit the school that was adopted as part of our community initiative. The team participated in the inauguration ceremony of the new primary wing for the first, second and third level classes. Siegwerk completed the construction of three new buildings, which provided much-needed additional classrooms, allowing the school to accommodate more students and improve the learning environment. These new buildings were thoughtfully designed with modern amenities and infrastructure, creating a conducive environment for the 200 students who study there. Now the school is complete with all the facilities and it is a model school in the Alwar District of Rajasthan.
Another notable initiative that Siegwerk India has undertaken is the installation of a 7kWh solar panel system to ensure uninterrupted power supply for the entire school. This solar panel array not only reduced the school's dependency on conventional power sources, but also aligns with Siegwerk’s commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation. It was inspiring to witness how renewable energy is now contributing to the school's operations and helping to reduce the carbon footprint.
The joy and gratitude expressed by the students and staff were heart-warming, and it reinforces the significance of our CSR initiatives. The positive impact on the lives of these young learners was evident, and Siegwerk is proud to be a part of their educational journey.
